OSTEOPOROSIS (BONES) & Cannabis studies completed
Overview
Osteoporosis occurs when there is a loss in the peak bone mass and loss of calcium, leading to hip, knee and shoulder fractures.Cannabis therapies prove to be a beneficial treatment option.
The active component of cannabis Delta(9
-tetrahydrocannabinol, activates the CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid
receptors, thus mimicking the action of endogenous cannabinoids. It
appears that the topical use of cannabis oil may indeed be
curative in many dermatologic applications. It makes sense because
phytocannabinoids are potent anti-inflammatory
compounds.
