ACNE and cannabis studies completed

Overview

Acne vulgaris (or simply acne) is a long-term skin condition characterized by areas of blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, greasy skin, and possibly scarring.

Acne is the most common skin problem seen by doctors. THC is known to increase oil production in the skin, however, CBD has the exact opposite effect.

Whiteheads, blackheads, pimples, cysts, and nodules are all types of acne. It is the most common skin condition in the United States, affecting up to 50 million Americans yearly. It commonly occurs during puberty, when the sebaceous glands activate.
